We collect only what FalconryScale needs to work well for you and your birds. Account details: your name, email and profile photo. Raptor records: species, weights, activity, health and documents you add. Device data: app version and crash reports, to fix problems quickly.

Your information powers the features you use: weight trends, reminders, achievements and, if you choose, your public breeder profile. We use aggregated, anonymous statistics to improve the app. We process your account and raptor records because you have a contract with us to provide the app; we process analytics on a consent basis where required; and we process crash and performance data under our legitimate interest in keeping FalconryScale reliable and secure.

FalconryScale works with a small number of specialist processors, each bound by a data processing agreement: Clerk for sign-in and account security; Convex, our database and backend, self-hosted at backend.falconryscale.com; RevenueCat for subscription management, with Apple and Google acting as the payment processors for in-app purchases; PostHog, hosted in the EU, for aggregated product analytics; Expo for push notifications; and Apple WeatherKit for the weather shown on your activities. None of them may use your data for their own purposes.

We never sell, trade or rent your personal information. We only share it with your explicit consent, to comply with legal obligations, to protect our rights and prevent fraud, or with the service providers listed above under strict confidentiality agreements. Where a processor operates outside the European Economic Area, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your data in transit and at rest.

You decide who sees your profile: private, community or public. You can turn off location sharing and activity visibility, manage notification preferences, export all your data, and delete your account at any time.

You have the right to access, correct, export and delete your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Free accounts keep 30 days of history; marketplace listings and chat messages are kept only as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data, including marketplace listings and chat messages, is permanently erased within 30 days. If you are in the EU or EEA and believe we have not respected these rights, you can lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission is 100% secure. Our service is not directed to children under 13.
